The Department of Computer Applications was established in 1987, when the field of computer science itself was at a nascent stage in India. The department leverages the best of technology and management education to give rise to professionals who are both technically proficient and administratively efficient. The department started with an intake of 30 students under GIA category, which was raised to 60 seats when 30 students were added under SF category. The state-of-the-art infrastructure at the department includes two dedicated software labs for practical sessions.
