The Centre was set up in the year 2000 to cater to the needs for Structural Design and Design Audits in the field of Civil Engineering. Today, in addition to providing research and consultancy services (including third party audit, review of reports, testing and QAQC services) the SDC offers the following services:
- Structural Analysis, Design and Detailing of RCC, Steel and PSC Structures
- Third Party Review of the Structural Design, Retrofitting & Failure Analysis
- Material Testing, Non-Destructive Testing and Geotechnical Testing Services
- Geotechnical Consultancy Services including preparation of Geotechnical Report based on testing carried out by other laboratories
- Review of Geotechnical Reports and Third Party verification of field / laboratory testing
- Surveying, Estimating & Costing, Tender Preparation, Project Scheduling, Project Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Services etc.
